A super simple way to improve your mindset
Your mindset as a business owner determines the overall direction and success of the company.
A positive and proactive mindset can helps you identify and pursue opportunities, make sound decisions, and effectively solve problems.
On the other hand, a negative or passive mindset leads to missed opportunities, poor decision-making, and difficulty in overcoming challenges.
Slightly changing the way you phrase statements about yourself and your work is a super simple method to establish and maintain a beneficial mindset.
- “I can’t afford that” ➡️ “I don’t want/need to buy that yet.” ✅
- “I don’t have time” ➡️ “I haven’t made time yet.” ✅
- “I have to do this” ➡️ “I get to do this.” ✅
Notice the reactive, negative connotation of the statements on the left versus the positive, even grateful connotation on the right. The key is keeping yourself in control with the language you use.
Start by taking some time to be grateful for what you have: a company and the freedom to lead it however you want. You are not an employee. You are an owner.
Taking time to regularly reflect on and appreciate the positive aspects of your life and business helps cultivate a more positive and proactive mindset.
